My wellness journey began with fitness

I'm from Santa Cruz, CA, moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA (Go Bruins!) and have always loved living an active lifestyle. I grew up as a martial artist with a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and pretty much like all fighting sports. Punching stuff is a huge stress reliever. Working as a personal trainer and yoga instructor, I love empowering people to perform to their highest ability by caring for their physical and mental health.

Then I became vegan. Yes, I am Mexican and vegan.

I love food, and I am still able to enjoy all of my favs without eating any meat or dairy. I initially became vegan for environmental purposes. Did you know that the carbon footprint of a vegetarian diet is about half of someone who eats meat? Now, even though I am still all about protecting the planet, I am also a major animal lover. Some of my favorite Instagram accounts are pigs (I love pigs)- oh and goats, because goats are fantastic.

Good food is one of the simplest ways to care for our bodies, minds, planet, and I believe we can do this without sacrificing flavor. I hope that sharing my love of food will inspire people to add more plant-based meals into their lives on the regular.

Now I want to inspire people to move every day, eat more plants, and live with a little less stress

There is nothing I love more than seeing people feel their best. So that's what I'm here for, to keep you inspired to move with more freedom, eat mindfully, and live a more connected life.
